A rare and fine gold hunting cased keyless lever watch with alarm

Circa 1919, no. 62977


Movement: 1st quality frosted gilded 2/3 plate, gold lever and escape wheel, some jewels carried in screwed gold chatons, bi-metallic compensation balance, diamond endstone, precision swan-neck regulation, alarm sounding on coiled gongs, signed A. Lange & Söhne, Glashütte, b/Dresden and numbered 62977

Dial: white enamel dial with sunken centre, Arabic numerals, outer minute ring, blued steel hands, gold alarm indication hand, recessed subsidiary seconds, signed A. Lange & Söhne, Glashütte B/Dresden

Case: 18ct gold, Swiss plain polished covers and cuvette, winding slide for alarm to the band, two nibs beneath bezel for adjusting hands and central alarm indicator, covers signed A. Lange & Söhne, Glashütte, covers and cuvette numbered 62977 and with Swiss and German marks
