A gold quarter repeating two-train cylinder watch with independent jumping centre seconds and unusual textured enamel dial

Circa 1820

Movement: frosted gilded two train, cylinder escapement, flat three-arm balance, blued steel spiral hairspring with bi-metallic compensation curb, parachute suspension, separate hanging barrels for going and independent centre seconds trains, two polished steel hammers repeating on coiled gongs

• Dial: white enamel, the centre off-white matt with large flower motif, matt outer ring, moon hands, blued steel centre seconds

• Case: gold, engine-turned back and bezels, pendant locking slide to band between 1 and 2 o'clock, polished gold cuvette with apertures for winding each train and hand-setting and engraved with directionals and movement details,cuvette and pendant with French control marks, case numbered 75 and 9480
