The present lot is an extremely attractive version of the Rolex Daytona. Its white gold case is paired with a stunning yellow mother-of-pearl dial and a yellow lizard skin strap.
In the early 2000s, Rolex released a series of four different 'Beach' Daytona models, namely yellow mother of pearl, green chalcedony, pink mother of pearl and blue turquoise. A fashion statement and collector's item alike, these models have gained huge popularity recently and are among the most sought-after models of the 116500 series. The yellow version rarely appears at auction.
