In 1953, Rolex launched the Submariner which was to become the benchmark for diving watches all over the world. After 50 years of success, Rolex released the reference 16610LV in 2003. This special 50th anniversary edition Submariner is the only reference to feature a green aluminium bezel insert. This model, affectionately nicknamed ‘Kermit’ by collectors due to its green bezel, has become increasingly collectible in recent times.
