Pair of diamond earrings/pendants
late 19th century
Each designed as a star, set with cushion-shaped and rose-cut diamonds, hook fittings, one diamond deficient.
Unsigned. Earrings converted from a late 19th century jewel. Reverse with hook fittings and collapsible bail, with screw fittings to allow pendants to be worn as a brooch however brooch fitting deficient. Hook fittings soldered on. Later rhodium plated, some tarnish showing through. Larger brooch approximately 40mm diameter, smaller brooch 37mm. One diamond deficient. Estimated total diamond weight 4.00-6.00 carats. Gross weight approximately 13.8 grams. Overall condition good.
