These necklaces are an example of the gifts that D'Annunzio was used to commision to his fried Mario Buccellati so called 'Mastro Parogon Coppella' that Il Vate was used to refer as 'Prince of Goldsmiths'. Buccellati first work for D'Annuzio were the epaulettes for the Abruzzo legionaries in 1920 and later many jewels followed since than for the countless charming lovers of the poet.


Queste collane sono un esempio dei regali che D'Annunzio commissionava all'amico Mario Buccellati, detto 'Mastro Parogon Coppella' che il Vate era solito chiamare 'Il Principe degli Orafi'. Il primo lavoro che Buccellati realizzò nel 1920 per D'Annunzio furono le 'spallline' per la legione Abruzzo a cui seguirono numerosi gioielli destinati alle affascinanti amanti del poeta.
