forty-eight woodblock prints, mounted in an album in accordion style, from the series Stories of the True Loyalty of the Faithful Samurai (Seichu gishi den), each sheet signed Ichiyusai Kuniyoshi ga, and with artist's paulownia seal, omitted on three prints, with varying censor's seals Hama (Hama Yahei), Kinugasa (Kinugasa Fusajiro), Muramatsu (Muramatsu Genroku), Yoshimura (Yoshimura Gentaro), Mera (Mera Ta’ichiro) and Murata (Murata Sahei), published by Ebiya Rinnosuke (Kaijudo), circa 1847-48
