Horizontal oban: 23.7 x 35.1 cm., 9¼ x 13¾ in.

Travellers cross frozen Lake Suwa towards Takashima Castle. Mount Fuji rises on the horizon to the right. In the foreground on the right is the steep descent from the Shiojiri Pass, down to the station at the lower left. This is a later edition lacking signature and the top Takenouchi seal, and with the horse’s girth bearing the seal of the publisher Kinjudo.
