Publisher's green cloth over drab boards, spine gilt-lettered, front cover blind-lettered; corners and rear board bumped. Publisher's yellow printed dust-jacket; some chipping, fraying, and repair. Half black morocco folding-case.

First American edition, published simultaneously with the London edition issued by Grant Richards. Exiles sold poorly, and copies retaining the dust-jacket are very uncommon.
