Lai’s Landscape series has an unique aura that lies in between the natural shape and texture of stones and artificial cutting techniques. His casual way of sculpting leads to random but refreshing results, unintentionally demonstrating the savor of natural stones.

Looking along the contour of “Landscape”, all the previous experience about natural scenery seems to be reproduced in front of eyes; Viewers can imagine the bigger

world from the small sculpture. The shape of this sculpture is somehow simulation of rolling hills and created the landscape-like sculpture by white marble.

「山水」利用石塊之自然形狀和質感，與人工安排之切割造境。接近偶然的隨意手法，塑造出脫俗清新的意境；不刻意的顯出自然石塊之天趣。沿著「山水」形走，將過去的自然風光再現眼前；可謂觀小石有大世界之勢。作品的線條如同連綿起伏的山丘，利用大理石構成山水風景般的雕塑。
