the movement signed Gilles Martinot A Paris; some mounts struck with the C couronné mark; the bracket and case stamped twice ADUBOIS; alterations to interior of case and chime mechanism, the dial and some mounts associated

Gilles Martinot (c.1658-1726) was born into a dynasty of clockmakers in Rouen and became a master in Paris in 1698.  He maintained an active workshop on the Quai des Orfèveres, and his clients included the Grand Dauphin and the East India Company.

The stamp ADUBOIS is unrecorded, though there was an Adrien Dubois who became a maître menuisier in Paris in 1741.
