each painted with a pair of exotic birds, both perched on blossoming branches, one showing an interest in a passing moth, within gilt borders. comprising: a flattened ovoid vase on four splayed feet, signed V. Vivien, and a pair of two-handled tapering footed vases, the pair with inscribed marks for the Exhibition Univesalle, Paris, 1878
