The crest is that of Talbot-Ponsonby, one of the crests (Talbot) of Charles William Talbot-Ponsonby (29 May 1843 – 23 July 1927), eldest son of Rear-Admiral Sir Charles Talbot and his wife, the Hon. Charlotte, second daughter of Major General the Hon. Sir William Ponsonby. Charles William Talbot, a Lieutenant in the Royal Navy, changed his name by royal license in 1866 to Charles William Talbot-Ponsonby under the terms of the will of his uncle, William, 3rd Baron Ponsonby of Imokilly (1816-1861). Sometime J.P. for Country Cork and Hampshire, he was married on 15 January 1868 to Constance Louisa (4 July 1847 - 23 March 1933), daughter of Frederick Peter Delmé Radcliffe.
