spirally fluted glass bodies, hinged covers, feet and neck mounts cast and chased with rocaille ornament, stoppers and chains, leafy scroll handles, marked on foot and neck mounts

20cm., 8in. high

The maker's mark is not recorded by Arminjon et al. in Dictionnaire des Poincons de fabricants d'ouvrages d'or et d'argent de Paris et de la Seine, Paris, 1994. However of the three Lancons listed in Paris in the second half of the 19th century only Emile Lancon who registered his mark in 1872 until 1902 shares the distinguishing maker's symbol trois fers de lance en eventail.
