When viewed firsthand, the shade displays an incredibly exuberant palette of magenta, fuchsia, cherry red, pale pink, and violette with accents of cerulean blue and bright apple green. The shade with approximately 25 hairlines dispersed throughout, stable. The shade with some minor traces of surface soiling concentrated to the contours adjacent to the leadlines, consistent with age. The leadlines with some minor oxidation, consistent with age. The “Chased Pod” base is in overall very good condition and displays a rich brown patina when viewed firsthand. The bronze surfaces with scattered minor surface scratches, abrasions, and discolorations, consistent with age and gentle handling. The telescoping mechanism is in good working condition. With period sockets. With a period finial in very good condition with some scattered minor surface scratches, abrasions, wear, and with some minor oxidation, consistent with age and gentle handling. An extraordinary example of this iconic form with particularly artistic glass selection.
