A Regency Caribbean mahogany and ebonsied-inlaid four-tier bookstand, early 19th century


with graduating revolving tiers, each with faux bookspines, with five simulated frieze drawers, on a baluster column and reeded downswept legs, brass caps and casters, with Norman Adams dealer's label; (the handles probably replaced)

Musgrave, Regency Furniture, London, 1961, fig. 77A. Another closely comparable was sold, the property of a Lady, Christie's, London, 7 April 1983, lot 129.
