The original model in giltwood for these stools was made by François-Honoré Georges and Georges Jacob working in collabroration between 1803 and 1813. A signed example bearing the inventory marks for the Château de Saint Cloud is at the Victoria and Albert Museum reproduced in Jarry and Derinoy, Le Siège Français, 1973, p. 301.

Le modèle original en bois doré fut créé par François-Honoré Georges et Georges Jacob collaborant ensemble entre 1803 et 1813. Un exemplaire estampillé portant les marques d'inventaire du château de Saint Cloud est conservé au Victoria and Albert Museum (ill. M. Jarry, Le Siège Français, 1973, p. 301).
