A pair of Meissen filigree cake stands, mid-19th century

with pierced foliate rims edged with garland swags, reserved with painted flower sprigs, upon four scroll feet, crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue, impressed model number B.98.4., impressed numeral 48.


Height 3 in.

One with a one inch long area of loss to the flower garland below a section of the gilt scrollwork below the top. The same one with a 1/4 inch loss to the stem of the garland encircling the top. Some very small chips to the flowers on the garland.

The other with two one inch long areas of loss the flower garland below the gilt scrollwork. Very small chips to the flower garland on the top.
