Table Lamp

designed circa 1928

produced by Louis Poulsen, Copenhagen, Denmark

brass

19¼ in. (48.8 cm) high

8¾ in. (22.2 cm) diameter of shade

Overall in very good condition. A superb example of the model in brass, the piece presents with wonderfully complex and variegated patina when viewed in person. The height of the lamp is easily adjustable. The metal presents with some age-appropriate oxidation throughout consistent with age and the natural evolution of the medium. The bottom of the shade is slightly darker than the top of the shade consistent with exposure to heat. This lot has been re-wired to American standards. Sotheby's does not guarantee electrical components and recommends having all wiring inspected by a licensed electrician.
