8vo (220 x 141 mm). Original printed orange wrappers; chips to spine and edges, old unobtrusive repair to rear wrapper, a few small dampstains. Housed in a blue cloth slipcase with folding chemise.
President Millard Fillmore’s copy, signed and dated March 24, 1870 on the front wrapper. A Reconstruction era constitution prohibiting slavery, and also miscegenation.
