8vo (206 x 130 mm). Half-title; some foxing and offsetting, two small marginal tears. Nineteenth-century half blue morocco and marbled boards, spine gilt-lettered; extremities rubbed, bookplate removed from front pastedown, some browning to endleaves.
First edition. “A very able and spirited exposition of the grievances alleged in the petition from the Congress, together with a review of the causes and progress of the American contest, and a vindication of the several measures pursued by the colonies” (Monthly Review).
