in French, assuring him how much he and his wife are looking forward to seeing him at Giverny, arranging to meet him at the train arriving at Vernon at 9h30 on Sunday morning, assuring him that his friend Saleron (?) will also be most welcome, and asking him to convey his best wishes to Madame Deconchy

The landscape painter Ferdinand Deconchy (1859-1946) owned a house at Gasny, only a few miles from Giverny. His sister Isabelle married the architect Louis Bonnier.
