Letter signed ("Ekaterina"), to her Privy Councillor, Peter Vasilievich Zapodovsky, 11 November 1790

in Russian, authorising the payment of 25,000 Roubles for the construction of St Isaac's Cathedral in St Petersburg, comprising half the total sum needed for that year, which will be released to him, advising him that he is responsible for directing its appropriate use,

"[translation:] ...Of the 50,000 roubles needed this present year for building St. Isaac's Church. We have ordered the release of the 25,000 roubles for the second half of the year to your department from the St. Petersburg Treasury for the remainder of the sum, for the receiving and use of which you are to give appropriate instructions."
