'Ten-Year Old Spinner in Carolina Cotton Mill'

gelatin silver print, titled and dated in pencil and with the photographer's ‘Interpretive Photography / Hastings-on-Hudson, N. Y.’ stamp on the reverse, framed, 1908, possibly printed in the 1910s or 1920s

image: 7 ½ by 9 ½ in. (19.1 by 24.1 cm.)

frame: 13 ½ by 15 ½ in. (34.3 by 39.4 cm.)

Please note the colors in the online catalogue illustration may vary depending on screen settings. This print, on double-weight paper with a slight surface sheen, is in generally excellent condition. There is a 1-1/2-in. linear impression in the upper left quadrant. The margin edges are worn and there are occasional chips in the emulsion. The reverse is heavily soiled, particularly at the periphery. '2D [circled]' is written in an unidentified hand in pencil. When examined under ultraviolet light, this print does not appear to fluoresce.
