gelatin silver print, the photographer's '48 West 84th ST. / N. Y. 24, N. Y. TR. 4-2436' studio stamp [crossed out in ink], his '1015 Sixth Avenue / NY 18 NY WI 7-9556' studio stamp, and annotations in pencil and ink on the reverse, circa 1952

Please note the colors and shades in the online catalogue illustration may vary depending on screen settings. This early print, trimmed to the image and on double-weight paper with a semi-glossy surface, is in generally very good condition. There is a slight waviness to the print. In raking light, some small, insignificant creases and impressions are visible overall. There is some edge wear with attendant chipping of the emulsion, most notably at the lower right corner. The reverse of the print has a tooth texture. It is soiled overall. The following notations are in unidentified hands: '16x20 from crops' [in pencil]; '165' [in red ink]; and 'g' and '?' in pencil.
