Please note the colors and shades in the online catalogue illustration may vary depending on screen settings. This photograph, with a slight surface sheen and mounted to Stuart illustration board, is in generally excellent condition. In raking light, extremely faint rippling is visible in the upper portion of the image. Upon close inspection are the following: a few small deposits of original retouching; a 1/2-inch superficial scratch that does not appear to break the emulsion in the center of the image; and minuscule chipping at the lower and right edges. A modern mat window is hinged with tape to the left edge of the mount. On the reverse of the mount, abrasions at the edges suggest this photograph was previously affixed to a secondary mount. There is a modern printed label on the reverse in the upper left corner.
