The dating of this lot is consistent with the result of a thermoluminescence test (Oxford sample 166 & 1). Certificate lost.

The ewer is in overall good condition. Viewing under UV shows there are no breaks. As visible in the photos there are glaze flakes, especially at the rim and the front of the mouth, and minor flakes to the foot.
