Yassi Mazandi

Yassi Mazandi has consistently been interested in marrying her hand made works with the digital realm, including video. Floating, her third NFT, completed in 2021, is a work based on one of her signature wheel-thrown and hand-carved porcelain flower vertebrae, a work entitled Nine which she made in 2012. Floating is inspired by a traditional medicine voyage between dimensions, and includes a somewhat raw soundtrack intended to conjure a desert wind storm.
