gelatin silver print, a 'FRANCE-SOIR' credit stamp on the reverse, 1937, printing date unknown

image: 6 ¾ by 6 ¾ in. (17.1 by 17.1 cm.)

Please note the colors and shades in the online catalogue illustration may vary depending on screen settings. This print, on heavy-weight paper with a slight surface sheen and a deckled margin edge, is in generally excellent condition. The reverse is somewhat age-darkened along the edges. The exact printing date of this photograph is unknown. Although the brightness of the paper suggests a later print, when examined under ultraviolet light, this print does not appear to fluoresce suggesting the absence of optical brighteners.
