Kelly Wall (b. 1990 Los Angeles, CA) received a BFA in Sculpture from Otis College of Art and Design in 2012 and an MFA from California Institute of the Arts in 2019. Across myriad subjects and media, Wall’s work often elicits nostalgia, using the mythological to address real world issues. Wall tends to explore traditional art mediums with a contemporary approach, with recent focus on stained glass and ceramic. California, as place and idea, is paramount in Wall’s work.
Wall has had two solo shows, recently exhibiting new works at New Low in MacArthur Park in 2021. She attended the REEF Residency post-grad in 2018-2019 and currently teachers sculpture at Otis College of Art and Design. Wall has exhibited across Los Angeles at various locations including Francois Ghebaly, Joan, The Annenberg and Frieze. She is the co-founder of The Material Girls Podcast and currently lives and works in Mar Vista, CA.
