signed A. Rodin and stamped with the foundry mark Alexis Rudier Fondeur Paris; stamped (in the interior)
bronze
height: 32,5 cm; 12 ¾ in.
Conceived in 1895-96 and cast in bronze by the foundry Alexis Rudier between 1927 and 1945 in an edition of at least 6 examples; this example cast in bronze in 1927.
This work will be included in the forthcoming Catalogue Critique de l'oeuvre sculpté d'Auguste Rodin being currently prepared by Galerie Brame & Lorenceau under the direction of Jérôme Le Blay under the archive number 2021-6312B.

Conçu en 1895-96 et fondu en bronze par la fonderie Alexis Rudier entre 1927 et 1945 dans une édition d'au moins 6 exemplaires, cette épreuve fondue en bronze en 1927.
