Executed on cream paper, not laid down and affixed to the backing board along all four edges. The sheet is slightly undulating. Examination under UV light reveals no evidence of retouching. There are two small paper losses (the widest of which is approx. 1.5cm long) to the lower part of the right edge and a smaller paper loss (approx. 0.2cm long) to the lower part of the right hand woman's skirt. There are a few flattened creases towards the upper right corner. There is minor scratch (approx. 8cm long) to the upper left corner. There is a small accretion towards the centre of the lower edge. There is a horizontal line running across the centre of the composition, probably related to previous folding. There is some minor rubbing along the extreme edges associated with a few small nicks and paper losses. There are a few dots of foxing in places, most predominately to the upper part of the composition. This work is in overall good condition.
