deftly carved in various levels of relief with groups of scholars in a craggy mountain engaged in various activities including inspecting antiquities, playing the guqin or engaged in a game of weiqi, all amongst gnarled pine and paulownia tree and beneath swirling clouds around the rim, the rim and base set with hardwood, the bamboo with a rich chestnut colour
