A bronze figure of Tsongkhapa lama and a brass-alloy figure of Kala Jambhala
Qing dynasty, 18th-19th century
the first seated in vajraparyanakasana on a double lotus pedestal, the hands held in dharmachakra mudra, flanked by two upright stalks of stylized lotus bearing a book and sword, identifying the figure as an earthly incarnation of Manjushri; Kala Jambhala standing in alidhasana atop a supine figure of Yellow Jambhala, holding a kapala in the raised right hand and a jewel-spewing mongoose in the left, all supported on a lotus base
