turned slightly to her left, her centrally-parted wavy hair arranged in a top knot with loose curls, tied in a chignon, and surmounted by a diadem, small curls escaping behind the ears; nose, chin with part of right cheek, parts of ears and diadem, chignon, and shoulders restored.

Total height 42 cm.; height of head 23 cm.

Shoulders, most of lock of hair falling from behind proper l. ear, chin together with front half of proper r. lower jaw, lower lip, nose, and small area of diadem restored in marble. Facial features have lost some of their definition due to re-polishing. Some staining along neck-join and on back of proper r. jaw. Top of head quite dirty from accumulated grime. Round socle dates from same period as restorations and is carved separately from plinth and shoulders. Small repair or restoration to edge of modern shoulders along proper r. side.
