A Roman Marble Bust of Aphrodite

circa 2nd Century A.D


turned slightly to her left, her centrally-parted wavy hair arranged in a top knot with loose curls, tied in a chignon, and surmounted by a diadem, small curls escaping behind the ears; nose, chin with part of right cheek, parts of ears and diadem, chignon, and shoulders restored.

Total height 42 cm.; height of head 23 cm.
