A Hellenistic Gold, Garnet and Green Glass Necklace,
circa 2nd/1st century B.C.
consisting of a braided gold chain with modern elements, strung with conical gold beads and fasteners, with a central lunate pendant inlaid with garnet and green glass, flanked by two triple-chain pendants terminating in gold and glass beads, one ancient, one modern, surrounded by gold and garnet drop pendants on both sides.
Length with clasp 41 cm.
