Louis “Louie” J. Lamone worked as one of  Norman Rockwell’s studio assistants from 1953-1976. At the beginning of Lamone's time in Rockwell's studio, the artist primarily asked him to document paintings before they were shipped out to publications like The Saturday Evening Post. Lamone also often directed the models during the comprehensive photography sessions that were an integral component of Rockwell’s creative process. Rockwell occasionally asked Lamone to serve as a model himself and his likeness can be found in many illustrations that were produced during their time working together.
