impressed JEAN DUNAND

11 ½ in. (29.2 cm) high

13 ¾ in. (34.9 cm) diameter

Overall in very good condition. The present vase displays a majestic scale and is a superb example of Dunand’s handmade dinanderie technique. The patinated metal surfaces present with a variegated color palette ranging from copper to russet brown and with scattered areas of discoloration consistent with age. The abstract decorative motifs present with some discoloration to the silver patina as well, which is consistent with age and the natural evolution of the medium. The rim presents with some very minor surface irregularities to the metal inherent to production. The underside with remnants of an adhesive paper label not visible when the piece is installed.
