An interesting collection of seven walking canes

late 19th century/earlly 20th century


comprising; a Victorian ivory and whalebone cane, with later 18ct. gold mounts, marked London, 2000; An unusual Victorian ivory mounted horn cane, the spherical terminal in the form of a bloodshot eyeball; An Asprey's cane with an associated spherical turtleshell terminal, 18ct. gold collar, marked London, 1991, engraved 'Asprey's' on a hardwood shaft; A Victorian turned ivory and malacca cane; A Victorian ivory and bamboo cane with 'pistol' grip, probably adapted from a parasol; A Victorian cane mounted with a Japanese ivory terminal carved in relief with an erotic subject, the silver collar with partial marks for London, 1918, and later engraved 'Hornchurch / Drum & Trumpet Corps' with a malacca stem; A Japanese Export ivory and ebony cane, the shibayama terminal inlaid with insects, signed (7)
