signed ABA NOVÁK lower right

tempera on board

Unframed: 79.7 by 100cm., 31¼ by 39¼in.

Framed: 97.7 by 118.5cm., 38½ by 46¾in.

The board is slightly bowed and there is some minor chipping and rubbing at the extreme framing edges. There are some losses to the paint surface, notably below the upper edge and in addition there are some small losses scattered through the composition (visible in the catalogue illustration). Examination under ultra-violet light reveals scattered retouching, notably to the sky and to the front and roof of the shelter on the left.
