The following condition report has been provided by simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc. This work is in excellent condition and should be hung in its current state. The canvas has a thin old glue lining. The cracking is very slightly raised in the sky, but the paint layer is stable. There is a small retouching on the upper right edge and some retouches to cracking in the green hedge in the lower right. There are some very small retouches in the sky above the palace on the right. These retouches are all visible under ultraviolet light. There are no retouches within the figures and despite the fact that some of the original color reads strongly under ultraviolet light, no other retouches are present. The work should be hung as is.
