Description

Louis Roederer, Brut 1990

Good levels and appearance

(Disgorged in 2012.) In 2014 and from magnum, a reductive, "boulangerie" nose, with grandeur behind it. Huge bready flavour - big, black grape stuff. Great flavour of citrus fruits, nuts and Pinot Noir. Structure, class and ripeness. A monument. Serena Sutcliffe, MW Disgorged and tasted in 2014 from magnum, a totally "classic" nose of distinction, denoting excellent vineyards. Great freshness and impact. Huge power and fruit on the palate. A total mouthful of irresistible flavour. Perfect acidity balance. A giant among Champagnes. This imparts joy in a big way. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
