Rolex introduced their first Cosmograph Daytona with an in-house movement in 2000 via reference 116520. Previously, the brand relied on a modified Zenith movement to meet their standards. The debut of a completely Rolex produced Daytona in stainless steel made reference 116520 one of the hottest sports watches on the market. Its signature set features a traditional 40mm Oyster case worn on a matching flat-link Oyster bracelet, with a steel bezel displaying a 400-units Tachymeter scale. The chronograph triggers are enhanced by waterproof screw down crowns and can be used by the user to measure increments of time while driving. Today, many collectors seek this particular reference for its incredible history and wearability.
