With a contemporary chocolate brown dial contrasting with the large Arabic numerals for greater legibility. The present Daytona is no longer a tool watch as it was once categorized as, but rather, has evolved into a fashion statement for all.
After Rolex had completely stopped the production of its Zenith based Daytona movement, the brand decided to reinvent its model by not only incorporating the watch with a new movement but also by applying different metals and dial layouts. The present example was launched during the 2014 Basel World. As a watch, it is equipped with a highly reliable and efficient movement, the calibre 4130, which is entirely designed and manufactured in-house. However, its most appealing aspect would be the employment of a special mix of pink gold, also known as "Everose gold" which is unique to Rolex and known for its lovely rosy sheen.
