Patek Philippe produced the reference 3406 between 1958 and approximately 1970 in a wide variety of case, dial and bracelet designs, in yellow, pink and white gold, in addition to platinum.
The present yellow gold example bears the classical elongated thin index dial with a large Roman "12" marker. The striking case was manufactured by none other than Wenger as confirmed by the Geneva Key number 1 to the inner-case back. The rare original bracelet adds gravitas and elegance to this nostalgic Patek Philippe timepiece, a true added-value for collectors. The case is fitted with the recently introduced caliber 23-300, replacing the well-respected caliber 100 200 and adding convenient features such as a Gyromax balance or improved shock resistance in a thinner movement.
The watch is accompanied by its original Patek Philippe presentation case and its Extract from the Archives confirming the watch saw light with its current bracelet. The timepiece was manufactured in 1965 and subsequently sold on January 23, 1967.
