The Master Eight-Days Perpetual Skeleton was introduced in 2007 as a limited edition of 100 platinum pieces. In 2008, Jaeger LeCoultre celebrated its 175th anniversary with the release of the pink gold version, fittingly produced in 175 examples.
This modern 41mm timepiece's major visual impact lies in its skeletonised caliber 876.SQ, visible from both sides of the watch. Its "globe-like" bridge pattern on the back is matched by an entirely visible movement on the dial side, where sapphire discs display the information above the astonishing three-dimensional movement.
The timepiece is highly functional and user-friendly thanks to its 8-day power reserve. The perpetual calendar complication is further-fitted with a moon-phase display, an AM/PM indication. The colour combination between the rose gold case and the darkened, ruthenium finished movement allow for a starking visual contrast which concedes a flair of modern classicism to the timepiece.
Numbered 25 out of 175 pieces, the present example stands in excellent condition and is offered with its original suite of accessories. The original retail price for this timepiece was around USD 100,000.
