The IWC Pilot Timezoner chronograph was introduced at the SIHH in 2016.

While gathering several complications, the watch is incredibly easy to use. Most notably, the timezone can be adjusted just by turning the bezel. It automatically moves the hour, 24h display and the date. To prevent the bezel to be moved accidentally, pressure needs to be applied at the top and bottom of it before rotating it. The adjustment of the worldtime indication through the rotating bezel was a system originally developed by Michael Vogt and Thomas Prescher. The patent was eventually bought by IWC in 2015, a year before the release of this model.

The watch is further fitted with a flyback chronograph function. The flyback system was originally used for in-flight calculations. It allows the user to reset and start the chronograph again by pressing just once on the 4 o'clock pusher.

The watch is powered by the in-house automatic calibre 89760 made of 323 components.

The movement is protected by a robust 46mm stainless steel case with the caseback displaying an engraved Junkers Ju 52 “Iron Annie” plane, paying tribute to this emblematic aircraft from the 1930's that connected the different continents.

The black dial provides a sporty and masculine identity to the piece which stays is very easy to read thanks to the contrasting white writings. The white date on black at 3 o'clock is nicely incorporated.

The present piece, presented in excellent condition with warranty and original accessories, is a attractive and highly functional interpretation of a modern globetrotter's tool watch.
