The reference 1450 was produced from 1940 to the early 1960s and affectionately nicknamed ‘Top Hat’ by collectors due to its tall case profile. Interestingly, Italians also refer to this reference as ‘Cinesino’, as the case profile is indeed reminiscent of a Pagoda architecture.

This collectible reference bears several interesting features, the first being its compelling shape-case, manufactured by none other than Markowski. The reliable manually-wound caliber 9’’’90 stands amongst Patek Philippe’s most highly regarded form movements.

The ‘Top Hat’ reference 1450 was available in yellow, rose and white gold in addition to platinum.
