Rolex produced the Submariner ref. 5513 between 1962 and 1989, alongside its sister ref. 5512 (1959-1978). Their new case design introduced the modern looks the legendary watch would keep for generations to come. The 5513 differs from the 5512 in non-chronometer certified caliber, illustrated by the two lines of text on the dial.

The present example bears the last generation of dials for this reference, which are glossy and fitted with white gold circling to the indexes. The tritium “SWISS-T<25” dial shows a homogeneous patina to the indexes while the lacquer to the dial shows a light spidering effect, for the vintage Rolex collector’s delight.
