Since its presentation in 1956, the Rolex Day-Date has seen several improvements and adaptations to different styles and cultures. Rare hard stone dials, which were used to underline the exclusiveness of the collection are a good example of the adventurous spirit that Rolex incorporated into its presidential model. The present reference 18038 from circa 1979, with a fluted bezel features a mesmerizing black ammonite hard stone dial and diamond hour indexes at 6 and 9. With each dial unique in its rights, these pieces are highly collectible among discerning collectors.
The watch is furthermore retained in very good condition.
